The Production Supervisor II will lead a shift of Manufacturing Team Members at Bay Center Foods in Valencia, CA and will be responsible for executing safe and effective operations that meet the needs of the organization and its employees. The Supervisor II will lead a team to produce exceptional product for delivery to Chick-Fil-A distribution centers (DCs) and will support the seamless integration of manufacturing and packaging operations. The Supervisor II will be a champion for Growing Excellence and will complete Daily Management Systems (DMS) such as Initial Problem Solving (IPS) activities to enable the facility to meet critical key performance indicators (KPIs) and achieve the site’s CBN (Compelling Business Need). The Supervisor II will create and maintain a work environment that enables team members to achieve their targets and goals and will address concerns as they arise.
This position requires the flexibility to work extended hours, holidays, and weekends as needed.
The Production Supervisor II will report directly to the Manufacturing Manager and will lead in a way that supports Chick-Fil-A’s vision and strategy while embodying the corporate purpose.
As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $140,000.00 to $150,000.00. This pay scale takes into account a wide range of business factors and may change over time.

Champion organizational efforts to promote and sustain a safe workplace, such as ensuring that Behavior Based Safety Observations (BBSO’s) are completed daily and ensuring that team members are in compliance with safety requirements such as wearing the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE’s)
• Support a dynamic team responsible for all production requirements to ensure product is made with the highest quality and complete other operational tasks during the shift to eliminate waste
• Meet/exceed targets for manufacturing and packaging operations at the facility
• Understand, track, and report KPI’s for extraction and packaging operations and train and coach team members on annual CBN targets
• Effectively manage team schedule to ensure adequate staffing for successful completion of assigned work at every shift
• Effectively manage workflow during the shift to ensure that team members are in compliance with rest and meal break laws
• Motivate and support the team to accomplish goals and assigned work for the shift
• Actively support and lead all process adherence activities including compliance to Safety, GMPs and Food Safety programs
• Serve as a communications conduit between Sr. Leadership and team members; effectively and timely communicate information and updates on a regular basis
• Conduct and lead regular team meetings including daily pass downs and shift huddles
• Support the development of team members using skills matrices and ensuring team members attend all required trainings, including overseeing training of new hires
• Evaluate performance of team members including providing performance feedback in monthly 1:1’s and foster a culture of recognition and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams regarding overall operations performance and drive continuous improvement, such as partnering with Quality Assurance to achieve the daily target for GMP score and partnering with Maintenance on Break Down Elimination (BDE) activities
• Regularly provide updates to the Manufacturing Manager on overall team performance and escalate issues in a timely manner as appropriate
• Champion Growing Excellence initiatives and partner with the Manufacturing Manager and Line Structure Team to complete Daily Management Systems (DMS) such as Initial Problem Solving (IPS) activities to eliminate losses.
• Empower team members to take on challenges and bring forward solutions (Growing Excellence)
• Provide temporary project support as needed for innovation, research and development (R&D), and pilot projects
• Complete other activities as required
