Job Overview

The Senior Team Member, Distribution role is responsible for continuously monitoring distribution systems and inventory and keep the flow of raw materials and finished good moving smoothly at all times. They will be provided more responsibility while being able to carry out operations systems troubleshooting and inventory related tasks. A principal role will be to prevent equipment or system downtime and ensure accurate inventory at all times. Supporting a variety of duties including coordinating and communicating with distribution, manufacturing and maintenance teams, as well as operating equipment on AGV, oil & peel and finished goods dock areas at the Bay Center manufacturing facility in Valencia, California.  This role will also operate some of the most sophisticated manufacturing machinery in the industry.

The position requires to maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate production; occasionally work extended hours on weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities and Activities

  • Ability to learn distribution operations systems and understand purpose of those systems through on the job training.
  • Develop problem solving skills by detecting and correcting abnormality through continuous improvement methodology or equivalent.
  • Remove causes of process waste (5S standards).
  • Conduct basic troubleshooting tasks such as Sections 10-40 fault clearances, AVG resets, anything preventing oil and peel from being processed, ASRS fault clearance and working with any inbound or outbound good carrier to ensure the safe and efficient loading and unloading of goods.
  • Start-up, pause, and shut down distribution line.
  • Ability to substitute for team leader when necessary.Communicate with Quality Assurance frequently regarding sample requirements and GMP audit items.
  • Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain food and environmental health safety standards throughout the facility
  • Safely and properly operate sophisticated equipment, such as AGVs, ASRS, forklifts, electric pallet jacks, oil drumming, peel load out, etc.
  • Correctly enter data as required such as SGV Manager, Plant Application, ASRS, Open Dock, Oracle, MES, etc.
  • Supports execution of preventative maintenance activities and scheduled tasks in a timely manner
  • Proactively engages with the Senior Team Leader to monitor and maintain all equipment
  • Monitors key parts inventory to ensure parts and tools are readily available
  • Responds to reactive systems, inventory, maintenance and equipment issues in a timely manner
  • Ability to learn and follow all safety procedures and job instructions to perform primary duties.
  • Other duties may be assigned from time to time

Business Requirements

 

  • Complete physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds and occasionally moving with mechanical assistance up to 2,000 pounds
  • Reach, bend, and stoop while performing work

Minimum Qualifications

Education:   High School Diploma

Experience:   Experience in a manufacturing facility

Preferred Relevant Experience:  Experience in  food production
